About

Julian Ranch Run

Come join us in Julian for a night of camping on the back 40 and a mild trail run. Feel free to come up Friday or Saturday, the trail run is on Saturday. You will need your own camping gear, water, food and of course a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Crossroads 4WD Minsitry will be having a camping and scenic trail ride weekend near Julian August 21-23rd!  Well be staying/camping on Steves property where he also has a cabin.  This means well have access to the cabin kitchen along with bathroom and shower thank you Steve!  Outside there is an excellent area to tent or RV camp along with a fire pit (wood provided).  Steve mentioned there is always a nice cool breeze something we could all enjoy right now!  This is OPEN TO ALL RIGS (must have good clearance) and the trails are INCREDIBLY SCENIC, encompassing a varied terrain!!!  This is a GREAT opportunity to bring any unsaved friends.

Below is the itinerary for the August 21-23rd camping and tail ride trip!!!

  • 21st arrive at Steves from 5:00pm on.  Setup tents, RVs, games, campfire, worship and cooking

  • 22nd

    • Breakfast early, hit the road around 8:00am.  For those looking to meet us ONLY for the run we will be meeting I the Dudleys parking lot in Santa Ysabel for a departure of 9am (Directions below).

    • Crawling and Trail Ride all levels, even high clearance 2WD rigs!  Devotional given at the mid-point.

    • Lunch at a Scenic trail location (bring a picnic lunch)

    • Back to Steves

    • Evening - if youre staying another night of more games, campfire, worship and cooking!

  • 23rd Breakfast, pack up and leave Thank you Steve!

Kids are DEFINITELY welcome!  Steve will have his 5 year old daughter and Im bringing my 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter.  It would be awesome if more children/teenagers came!  We plan on riding trails stock rigs (4WD AND High Clearance 2WDs) can navigate.  We will run a few side trails for lifted rigs.

The trail ride on Saturday will be an all day run around Palomar Mountain. There will be some scenic roads and even more scenic trails. Please come with a full or as full tank of fuel as possible but there will be fuel available a couple of places along the run.  We will be making several stops to take pictures (bring your camera and binoculars), take in the sights and restroom use. Please be sure to bring a lunch & snacks for on the trail and plenty of water or something to carry my well water in (it's that good)!  Be sure your vehicle is in good repair with adequate tires for a long trip but don't worry no one will be left stranded if they have a problem.
