WHAT WILL I DO?

Chollas Lake Clean Up

Chollas Lake is a great community area for people to picnic, jog, play sports, and enjoy the lake. However, it needs a lot of beautifying, raking, cleaning up trash, picking up plant debris and other tasks to help keep this lake an enjoyable oasis for the community.  Lets get ban together and help make Chollas Lake a place where Southeast San Diego friends and families can enjoy for years to come.

Colina Del Sol Clean Up

Colina Del Sol is an amazing recreation center located in South East San Diego. This is a safe haven where kids can come and enjoy themselves through sports, music, and other fun recreational activities. Colina Del Sol needs new paint, a deep clean inside, trash pick up around the area, new plants and flowers, and a few other specialty tasks to keep this rec center a welcoming space for the Southeast San Diego community. 

Jacobs Center Clean Up

Jacobs Center is a mutli-cultural center for people in the community to use for various activities and ceremonies. Located on Euclid Avenue we will be meeting at the center and then stepping out by foot to clean up trash around the surrounding areas with litter sticks and trash bags. This will allow an area in southeast San Diego to take pride in their newly cleared streets and neighborhoods.

CARPOOLING/PARKING:
Due to the large number of volunteers, we want to respect our city by carpooling and parking in the designated lot only:
From Euclid, turn into Market Creek Plaza parking lot. Proceed to back of Jacobs Center.

You can also take the trolley directly to the center! Orange Line trolley, Euclid Ave stop. Center will be to the right.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
We suggest bringing water, sunblock, and a hat for the day.
For volunteers in a landscape setting, please bring/wear the following:

• Please bring a shovel (round point/trenching) or rake (bull/hard rake)
• Cotton or leather gloves
• Long-sleeved shirt
• Pants
• Boots

We ask that you do not bring children under 7 years old or animals to the clean-up event for safety reasons.
