WHAT ARE WE DOING? Park Clean Up
WHO AND WHERE TO MEET This is a Churchwide DO SOMETHING Event and we need Jr High students, parents, and volunteers to represent our ministry out in the community. We will meet from 8am to 12pm at Skyline Park. The address is 8285 Skyline Drive, San Diego, CA 92114 [map]
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING Jr High Permission Slip (required) Do Something T-shirt (will be provided at the registration table) Long Pants Close-toed shoes ITEMS TO BRING (if you have) Hat Sunscreen / Chap Stick Bug Spray Ear Plugs (for weed whackers only) Gloves for landscaping Gardening shearers Round nose shovels Hard rakes Garden hoe or Hula hoe Trash bags
WHAT TO EXPECT When you arrive at Skyline Park on June 19, please report immediately to the registration/check-in area. This area will be clearly marked and near your parking area. Ushers will be available to assist you if necessary. Once you arrive at the registration/check-in table, you will be signing the waiver already provided to you, receiving your Do Something T-shirt and then being directed to your project site by a Do Something usher. Your 1st contact usher should first be Ben Starr. Please call Ben at 858-405-5982 if any concerns come up. The project leader will brief you on your responsibilities for the day. The event will be concluding around noon. Please let your project leaders know that day if you will be leaving early. You must tell Ben if you leave early, have your guardian call Ben if you leave early 858-405-5982.
Water will be provided to all volunteers throughout the morning.
