Cactus to Clouds is ideal for experience hikers who are looking for a adventure. It is 10,500' of non-stop elevation gain and the longest continuous elevation gain hike in the U.S. on the desert floor at the Palm Springs Desert Museum. It climbs through 5 different eco zones to first the upper Aerial Tramway Station (10.5 miles & 8,000’ of elev. gain to get that far where you can bail out at that point if need be) and then on to San Jacinto Peak (10,834’) before dropping back down to the upper Aerial Tram Station again for the tram ride the rest of the way down to Palm Springs.
