The true meaning and spirit of Christmas come alive this December with A Christmas Tabernacle. This family-friendly Christmas festival celebrates the true Christmas season in its inaugural festival, December 16–18, 2011, at NTC Liberty Station.

Set on 350,000 sq. ft., A Christmas Tabernacle features a wide range of activities and entertainment for family members of all ages, including 100+ specialty-goods vendors, a food court, Christmas concerts and performances, a living nativity scene, interactive workshops, Santa’s Village, a themed Christmas tree area, and a fun zone complete with a real snow play area, games and attractions.

There will be a variety of activities at the festival, including a Fun Zone that features a puppet theater, carnival games and inflatables. The main stage will showcase continuous entertainment for the whole family, including daytime acts featuring local church choirs singing Christmas favorites, Christmas-themed plays and skits, story readings, magicians and more. Each night the main stage will host a headliner act to close out the evening.

In keeping with the spirit of Christmas, the festival will also have non-profit days with a percentage of the proceeds donated to that particular organization. The recipients of each organization will also participate in the tree lighting and the themed-tree decorating.

There will be philanthropic opportunities for our attendees to through Santa’s Workshop, where families can buy a kit, make the items with their own hands and turn them in to be donated as Christmas gifts to needy families throughout San Diego.

All in all, A Christmas Tabernacle is a community event created for the City of San Diego to come together and celebrate the gift of Christmas!
