Are You Ready?

Pastor Miles McPherson

It’s not a question of if a crisis or disaster will happen in our lifetime, it’s a matter of when. God did not promise life on the earth to be adversity free. In fact, He promised just the opposite and encouraged us not to be surprised when difficult times come—even exceptionally difficult times. Both literally and metaphorically, when the floods and fires of life arrive, God has promised to be with us. We are not called to be scared, but prepared—that we might experience Him in times of trouble, protect our families, and be a blessing to others.

Imagine if you weren’t leaning on others for assistance in a disaster situation, but rather lifting others towards the assistance they needed? What if as a church, we could be a beacon of hope, light, and tool in the hand of God, demonstrating His kindness and mercy towards others when a crisis or disaster occurs? There are next steps, God may be calling you to take, to ensure you are plugged in and ready for what may lay ahead.

In this 4-part series, Rock Pastors equip us to be prepared in times of disaster, empowering us to face adversity with the courage and capacity to help others.
