While “sin” and “the devil” aren’t exactly popular conversation points in contemporary culture, it is incredibly important that the Church maintains a well-developed and biblical perspective on these topics. The book of Ephesians instructs us to throw off our old selves, which have been corrupted through disordered desires (Eph. 4:22), and to “put on the whole armor of God that [we] may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Eph. 6:11).”
As Christians, we must be awake to the reality of sin, disorder, and deception in the world. But most importantly, we must be attuned to the reality and truth of the gospel.
Because of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are able to resist the enemy and stand firm in our faith.
This 2-week series, The Enemy, grapples with the reality of sin and the devil and teaches you how to walk in victory and righteousness.
