Chef Chuy

Jesus de la Torre (Chuy) has been in the restaurant industry for 22 years. He has been a Chef for 14 of those years. Born in Mexico and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He moved to San Diego two years ago and is currently Executive Chef at URGE Gastropub in Rancho Bernardo. Chuy is passionate about cooking and eating fresh and healthy food. He loves to teach and has lead a variety of cooking classes. A believer in always continuing to learn, Chuy is enrolled in the SDSU Business of Craft Beer Certificate Program with the goal of becoming a Certified Cicerone. Chuy will be attending The Rock Church City Heights Campus.
