Welcome to Production Arts! Thank you for your interest in serving in this ministry. Before you begin the application, here are a few of the guidelines for serving in Production Arts. First, volunteers must regularly attend the Rock and commit to serve at least once a month for 3 AM services or 2 PM services. We also encourage involvement in a Rock Small Group.

Multimedia Arts/Technical Arts

Graphics Operator

Responsibilities of the Graphics Operator include controlling lyrics and graphics during Sunday services and at Rock Church events when necessary. The Graphics Operator should have a good understanding of the Mac platform. Knowledge of the software Pro Presenter is a plus, but not a necessity. Training is required and provided. A musical background is preferred for accurate timing on lyric slide advancement. Must be able to commit to either three services in the morning (8AM, 10AM, 12PM) or two in the evening (5PM & 7PM).

Stage Manager

The Stage Manager is responsible for the backstage area and maintaining the integrity of the Sunday service as directed by the Producer. This includes cuing the band to be on stage, facilitating backstage requests, managing the green room and food service to the talent and production crew on Sundays. No experience is necessary, but a background in theater production is a plus. Training is required and provided. Must be able to commit to either three services in the morning (8AM, 10AM, 12PM) or two in the evening (5PM & 7PM).

Camera Operator

The Camera Operator is responsible for operating a camera during Sunday services and at Rock Church events which take place in the sanctuary. Along with operation, this person may also be responsible for wrangling cable during a service/event. An understanding of how to use focus and zoom control in a studio setup, being able to frame a shot as per Video Directors preference (using pan and tilt), and/or having experience with a long lens setup are all preferred but not necessary. Training is required and provided. Must be able to commit to either three services in the morning (8AM, 10AM, 12PM) or two in the evening (5PM & 7PM).

Audio Technician

The Audio Technician supports the Audio Director and the Audio/Video Tech (A2) in their Sunday duties. Prior experience or musical training with general aptitude in technical skills is preferred. This person should have a servants heart with a passion for the evangelical influence of worship music on God's people. Should be available for Thursday evening music rehearsals and Sunday services (8AM, 10AM, 12PM, 5PM and/or 7PM). Must be able to make a commitment to regular monthly scheduling, with some flexibility.

Lighting Technician

The Lighting Technician supports the Lighting/Scenic Director, A/V Tech Associate and the Technical Arts Director with their normal duties related to scenic and lighting. Experience with intelligent lighting Ether DMX is preferred. Duties would include maintenance of lighting systems, spotlight operation and general work related to stage and lighting. Some lifting will be required. Must be able to work at heights and be available for Sunday services.

Stage Hand

The Stage Hand assists in any work that is needed with regard to the stage setup and scenic and lighting. No previous skill is required. Ability to lift 50 pounds of stage scenery and or production equipment. Should be available for Sunday services and some weekday projects.
