Pastor Miles Meets President Obama

by Dave Franco | April 4, 2012

It was an email that Pastor Miles initially thought was a joke. But when he pushed for verification of the email that invited him to the Easter Prayer Breakfast with President Obama in attendance, he found that the email was indeed originated by the White House.

On Wednesday, April 4, Miles and Debbie McPherson attended the Easter Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C. where the president addressed a room full of pastors and Christian leaders, thanking them for their prayers and encouragement.

When Pastor Miles shook the president's hand, he offered the one question he knew everybody was waiting on pins and needles to know. “How is it that you’re not a football fan?” he asked.

“Well the Chargers aren’t doing very well, are they?” responded the President.
