Taking Truth to Thailand

by Rock Church | September 19, 2014

Noi is one of very few Jesus followers in a valley of 10,000 in northern Thailand. This valley consists mostly of refugees from Myanmar who have settled in the jungles of Thailand to escape ethnic cleansing from the Burmese. They have lived in this valley for many years now. A few missionaries have come to share the gospel with this unreached people group, even fewer stayed to continue to disciple them. They have been praying at least 20 years for God to send them shepherds and teachers, so they can know God and His Word. When the Impact 195 short term team visited this valley in January 2014, the Lord had put on our hearts to engage this people group and to teach them the Word of God, so they may grow and experience Him as Father.

In October 2014, two Rock ambassadors will move to this valley and begin an intensive discipleship ministry with this unreached people group. As the Lord prepares the fields, He is sending the Rock Church to reap the harvest. We hope to use an organic church planting model to raise up the nationals to go preach the gospel to their own people. Pray that the Spirit of God will start a church planting movement to expand His Kingdom via multi-generation house churches.
