MAY I SPEAK LIFE OVER YOU?
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
God has called and equipped you to have a global impact on the kingdom of God, so don’t allow Satan to consume you with the issues of your world only.
THE 3 BAPTISMS OF A BELIEVER:
1. Baptism into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:13
This baptism takes place when you accept Christ; the old is gone and the new has come.
2. Water baptism into discipleship.
This is an outward indication of the transformation in your heart. Publicly you go underwater and rise as a new person, dedicated to living as a disciple of Jesus.
3. Baptism in the Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ.
This baptism is done by Jesus Himself and is the Holy Spirit coming upon you, permeating your entire life, empowering you and renewing your mind.
GLOBAL MINISTRY RESPONSIBILITY: The ALL-IN heart views sowing into Global Outreach as an act of worship.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Pray and ask God how He wants you to be involved in this work of the church.
God empowers us individually and collectively to bring the gospel to Jerusalem (our own city), Judea (our region or state), Samaria (the neighboring lands - or the rest of our country), and to the ends of the earth (globally). The Bible is clear that as followers of Christ, we need to have a global concern. There is much ministry taking place around the globe in which we have the opportunity to participate.
Additionally, next Sunday marks our special yearly offering, over and above our normal giving, to invest in special projects, such as global and digital missions.
Everything I do needs to be in response to the Spirit of God. So pray and ask God how He wants you to be involved in this work of the church.
Holy Spirit, move our hearts to invest in souls around the world.
Luke Bajenski, Global Outreach and DSC Pastor
Pastor Luke was born in Poland, Poland behind the Iron Curtain. His father was a pastor and his family used to receive American missionaries. As an adult, Luke came to the US and was married, later returning to Europe as a missionary and partnering with various churches.
The job of Rock’s Global Outreach Team is to deploy our resources around the world, to be hands and feet of Jesus, preaching the gospel and training other people to carry on the work of the ministry.
In 2017, we have seen:
- 42 long-term missionaries deployed
- 893 people sent on short term trips
- 254,800 people impacted in 17 countries
Luke also shared a couple of inspirational stories and photos from the global mission field. Daniel was an abandoned baby in Haiti who was rescued by our ophanage. Within 2 months, he was filled-out and out of danger, and now, he is a healthy, thriving boy. Our Super Kitchen feeds 1,000 kids like Daniel every day, and the work continues with efforts to add a school and raise up new kingdom warriors in Haiti.
During the summer mission to Uganda, about 1,000 people were seen in the mission’s medical clinic. A Muslim woman, Sarah, showed up with a high fever, lying on the ground and unable to move. But she never received treatment from the medical team because before the medical staff saw her, our prayer team prayed for her and she was healed. Sarah accepted Jesus and the next day brought several family members who were saved also.
Moises, a 22-year-old pastor’s son in Oaxaca, Mexico, had been very lost, seeking drugs, girls, and other dead-ends. He ended up in one of our discipleship schools and experienced such transformation that now he is discipling other people, serves on the outreach festival team, and recently planted two churches among the people from whom he comes.
Marcus Stallworth, Director of Technology and Digital Evangelism
With a background in strategic technology consulting that has been applied in federal agencies and special warfare, Marcus now works for Rock Church and describes himself as “a nerd for Jesus.”
Close your eyes and think about everyone you know and the ability you have, by using technology, to share the hope of the gospel with all of them. That is the focus of the Digital Evangelism team - building platforms to share the gospel at home and all over the world.
TEXT THE WORD “SHARE” TO 52525
You will receive texts in return asking the name and number of the person with whom you want to share the gospel. After the person receives the video, you will be updated about whether or not s/he watched and accepted Christ. Those who do accept Christ will receive a book about how to study the Book of John.
- 67% of people who watch the SHARE video get saved.
- 4800 people tune in to online sermons in 50 US states and 65 countries
- 347,369 salvations this year
- 36,000 salvations in the last 30 days
- 46,000 people have used TEXT to SHARE
Currently, we are working to launch an online church with online life classes, to provide training and fellowship for people all over the world, including Rock Your City events.
The devil wants us to focus on the things we don’t have, rather than the power of what we do have. It’s time to ask God to direct you in how He would like you to use your resources, time, and talent for the kingdom. He is faithful to respond, if only you’ll ask Him!
If you want to make a global impact in either the Outreach or Digital minsitries,
TEXT THE WORD “GLOBAL” TO 52525 and we’ll follow up with you to get you connected.
