The mission of The Rock Island Praise & Dance Ministry is to be a radiant light for Christ to all who want to learn Polynesian dance and song. It is to allow Christians and non-Christians an opportunity to share their common interest, learn Gods word, build relationships, and equip each other to share Gods love to the unsaved.
The ministry has been involved in the Pacific Islander Community and has brought to the ministry many men, women and children from different "halaus" (hula schools) coming together to serve the Lord with a common love and interest for the Polynesian cultures. The ministry is being used to bring women that are believers, non-believers, or of different a denomination to learn Polynesian dance and the meaning of movements with respect and honor for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
