NAMI Family to Family

National Alliance on Mental Illness(NAMI) is offering a free 12 consecutive week Family to Family educational course for family members and friends of individuals who experience mental illness.  This course topics include current informational about all mental illnesses, update information on medication and side effects.  Information on research on the brain.  The objective is to gain empathy by understanding the subjective, lived experience of a person with mental illness. Learn in special workshops for problem solving, listening and communication techniques, acquiring strategies for handing crisis and relapse.  Focusing on care for the caretaker, coping with worry, stress, and emotional overload,guidance on locating appropriate support  and services in San Diego.

Classes start Monday from Jan 28th  at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Rock Church Point Loma . You must register with Annette Arehart at [email protected].  Register today. Space is limited.
