Rock Church has purchased a building on Rosecrans formerly known as The Body Shop as part of the church’s ongoing efforts to beautify the Point Loma community and bring positive change to its residents. For about 50 years the sex shop has held a prominent and unmistakable location at the foot of the 5 and 8 freeways, attracting a harmful element, and daily forcing families to conduct life around a highly-visible contributor to the sex industry.
The mission at the Rock Church is to spread persuasive hope in our community through various outreach endeavors. We seek strategic ways to provide numerous positive resources to people who call San Diego home. With the closing of The Body Shop we have put together specific resources tailored for those that have been directly affected by this industry.
