After a year of meeting online and outdoors, we are thrilled to begin the process of opening our sanctuary doors! On April 18th, we RELAUNCHED indoor services at 10am and 12pm at several of our campus locations.
We are calling this a RELAUNCH because we believe that God is doing a new thing in the Rock Church as we transition back indoors. God has done a deep work in our midst during this year of transitions and challenges, and we have learned how to be resilient disciples. Though the church building was closed, we are so grateful for the ways that you – the Rock Church family – have demonstrated how to BE the Church outside of the four walls.
As we transition back into indoor services, we are all working to do our part to worship together safely in community. Here are a few important pieces of information to consider as we RELAUNCH!
Here are a few helpful tips to help you plan ahead:
- Arrival: Please plan to wear a mask upon entering the facility and while in common areas. You have the option to remove it when you are at your seat in the sanctuary. Temperature checks are available at the entrance for everyone but will not be required unless you are staff or a volunteer serving on Sunday.
- Sanctuary Entrance: Sanctuary doors will open 20 minutes prior to the service beginning, with the exception of the Point Loma Campus. Point Loma sanctuary doors will open 30 minutes prior to the service starting. Please plan to arrive early to ensure you have time to find a seat and get settled.
- Bags + Purses: Please help us keep the church experience as touchless as possible by leaving bags and purses at home so that baggage checking needs are kept to a minimum.
- Offering: Rather than passing offering buckets, we are encouraging everyone to give online at sdrock.com/give. Envelopes will be available on Sunday if you need one.
- Rock Kids: We will be offering Rock Kids at most campuses at both the 10am and 12pm services. Middle school class will be also offered at most campuses at the 10am service only. Click here for current information about high school gatherings.
Families with children, please note:
- Arrive early - doors will be open 20 minutes before service time (30 at Point Loma) and space will be limited based on the number of groups in each room.
- Activity bags will be available for kids sitting in the sanctuary with you (12 and under).
- Masks will be required for children Kindergarten and older at check-in for Rock Kids.
