SERVING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES

Children are the invisible victims of incarceration, and studies show they are some of America’s most at-risk kids. Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree® mobilizes volunteers around the country to deliver a gift, the Gospel, and a personal message of love to children on behalf of their incarcerated parent at Christmas. Churches and organizations partner with Angel Tree to come alongside prisoners’ families all year long, providing respite to caregivers and support while their loved ones are away. Through Angel Tree Camping®, children of prisoners are sponsored to attend Christian summer camps, with an opportunity to have fun, fellowship with peers, build relationships with caring camp counselors, and experience God’s love in the great outdoors. Angel Tree Sports Clinic™ provides a place for children to gain skills in various sports and learn about God's love through lessons, drills, and fun competition.

EVERY CHILD HAS A STORY

For 2.7 million children in the U.S., that story may be filled with the abandonment, loneliness, and shame that come from having a mom or dad in prison. For many, it may also include following their parents down the same destructive road to incarceration. Angel Tree®, a program of Prison Fellowship, reaches out to the children of prisoners and their families with the love of Christ. This unique program gives you an opportunity to share God's love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners.
The Rock Church Prison Ministry is one of many churches that partners with Prison Fellowship each year to bless the children affected by having a Father or Mother incarcerated. Once a parent signs the Angel Tree Forms in the summer for their children sponsorship, the forms are sent to Prison Fellowship for zip code distribution, when we receive the list of familes we are assigned we call each family to let them know their names have been assigned to our Church Ministry and provide the details of the Angel Tree Christmas Event.

Please let your loved one in Prison know that the forms are now available to complete so that your children get sponsored this year (2019).
