Health & Safety

Security

We want you to feel confident that your child is in a safe, secure environment while you are in service. We are committed to ensuring that every staff and volunteer team member completes an in depth screening process before working with the children. This includes a background check, reference checks and an interview with a Rock Kids staff member. Our team also adheres to strict policies and procedures to ensure the safety of your child.

Well Child Policy

In order to provide a safe, healthy environment for all children. If your child shows any signs of illness, such as a runny nose, persistent cough, fever, etc., we will ask that you keep your child with you during the service and utilize one of the family options (please see our "Your Family Options" page). Click here for the detailed Well Child Policy.

Medical Conditions

Please notify your child's teacher at check in if your child has a medical condition or severe allergy. A colored wristband will be placed on your child as a means to notify other volunteers of the special conditions with your child.

Paging System

Should your child need you during the service we will contact you through our paging system. You will be given details of our paging system when you visit us for the first time in the Welcome Room.

Check in and Picking Up Your Child

When checking your child into the classroom you will be given a security sticker. Each security sticker has an alphanumeric code that matches your child's nametag. You must return your sticker to the Rock Kids volunteer in order to pick up your child. No child will ever be released with the parent or other adult presenting the correct security sticker.
