Operation Christmas Child – Samaritan’s Purse https://www.sdrock.com/ministries/samaritan/ is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. The Rock Church Outreach Team is excited to partner with Samaritan's Purse. Lets show them some LOVE!!
Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. The organization serves the church worldwide to promote the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Here are some of the statistics regarding how God has blessed Operation Christmas Child, and by His grace, impacted millions of children, their families and communities.
Since the beginning of this ministry in 1993, OCC has worked with the local church in the U.S. to send over 135,000,000 shoebox gifts to children in over 150 countries and territories, each representing a precious child who will not only receive a tangible representation of God’s love for them, but hear about the Greatest Gift ever given; the Lord Jesus Christ! These dear children have been impacted by war, poverty, famine, disease and natural disasters.
Since 2010, The Greatest Journey, our 12-week discipleship program for children who receive a shoebox gift, has been offered in 97 countries in over 80 different languages to more than 7,000,000 children. 3,365,765 children have come to know Christ and become grounded in their faith. 3,683,765 have made commitments to pray for and share their faith with their family and friends. As a result, many churches are being planted in the communities where OCC has been working to serve the local Church.
