This ministry is designed to help you prepare yourself, your family, your neighbors, and your neighborhood in an emergency situation. While people will respond to others in need without the training, one goal of the Rock Disaster Response ministry is to help them do so effectively and efficiently without placing themselves in unnecessary danger. Local government prepares for everyday emergencies. However, during a disaster, the number and scope of incidents can overwhelm conventional emergency services.
The Rock Church is collaborating with the Office of Emergency Services to coordinate our disaster response efforts in harmony with the needs in our community. As such, when there is a local, national, or international emergency, Rock Church will alert our church members through social media as to the opportunities to get involved.
